  • Aqua aerobics is designed for people of all ages. Historically aqua aerobics have been seen as a seniors only activity, and while seniors are encouraged the most to engage in and reap the benefits of water based activities, classes are there for everyone to enjoy and benefit from, no matter your age.
  • Aqua aerobics has a wide range of significant benefits. Water aerobics is excellent for losing weight. A good cardio routine is very important for losing weight and constantly battling against the tension of the water is a great way to achieve this. Aqua aerobics can help build muscle, whilst easing the pressure on your joints as the water takes most of your body weight. Heart and lung health are also greatly improved because of these classes. But even outside of the physical benefits, participating with like-minded individuals can improve your social connections and mental wellbeing.
  • Yes, you can! One of the main benefits of aqua aerobics is that anyone can join, regardless of if you are a great swimmer or not. If you still don’t feel comfortable in the water, floats and other devices can be used to ensure everyone feels safe in the pool.
  • Depending on the type of injury, not only will you still be able to join water aerobic classes, but it’s even recommended. Water based therapies and routines are some of the best ways to rehab injuries and ailments, be it a bad back, twisted hips, or even recovering from knee surgery. The water takes the pressure off your joints and muscles, allowing them to move freely with less stress, whilst also letting the natural soft resistance of the water build up muscle, rather often straining and heavy gym exercises making things worse.
